Born into the world as good old Ian Jackson he picked up the nickname of Jake from an earlier band and it kinda stuck (like a good tune - not like mud!). More of that later.... Started out on flying vee bass (cos no-one else would play it!) but rapidly moved up to guitar/ vocals with a series of bands in his formative years, most notably a three piece outfit called "Untold Secret" doing original material.
Took to writing in a more rocky vein and it wasn't long before he was persuaded to join his own band "Papa Jake" - a raucous rock foursome who gained a reasonable reputation playing rock clubs in the North West. (Guess that's where the name came from then...). From there joined "Junction 8", a well know name on the North West rock circuit and more latterly the semi legendary "Rust" where he was introduced to Andy and Tim... And we all know where that ended up now don't we?!!!
Smouldering, mesmerising, awesome and just plain old sh*t hot - all of these phrases have been used to describe Ian's perfomances. Come along and see if you can add some more! Has enjoyed a chinwag with great men such as Ian Gillan, Robert Plant, Glenn Hughes, Doug Pinnick and Jizzy Pearl in his time!
Started playing a couple of years ago at the age of 13. At 16 was recruited by older bro Greg and vocalist Max Bacon of GTR fame to join Moby Dick and reached the dizzy heights of supporting the likes of Motorhead and Twisted Sister.
Following this spent a couple of years with local bands attempting some original material. Was in Northwich favourites thrash cabaret act Splatt for 10 or so years after which he enjoyed enormous adulation as the guitarist with Rust which is where the guitar/keys/vocal alliance of Andy, Tim and Jake was first born. When Rust decided to take a break in stepped Adam to take up the reins and form his own band Deepsnake, recruiting Uncle Andy in the process!
Although Blackmore is a favourite guitarist of his he has many influences such as Hendrix, Steve Lukather, EVH, SRV and the latest DP recruit Steve Morse.
Tim is a fantastic keyboard player who in the past has banded out in California (coincidentally with a good friend of ours Ted Reilly who now resides in another great band!). Our talented pianist has also done a bit of session stuff in recording studios around the globe. His recent banding exploits include The Shining and Rothschild, an 8 piece heavy rock combo which were regularly touring the N.West. Tim plays like Jon Lord and is very, very good..... Often referred to as Good Lord!
Began his career in 1986 on keyboards for a band called Out To Lunch along with brother Rob and Chris Braide. Began playing the bass in 1988. Highly qualified musician including a BTEC National Diploma in Performing Arts and a Higher National Diploma in Performing Arts and Recording Technology. He has been involved with many projects including theatre tours in France and Germany, educational theatre for Wigan Borough Council as well as session work. Worked with many bands that include Out to Lunch, N.I.W, Shaft, Incentive, the Queen tribute band Q86, Live Wire, Stone Fox and the legendary Foxx. Has a back-catalogue of solo albums and projects spanning a decade. The latest album project "Excerpts from Life" is almost complete.

Adam truly is a shining star. Crowds always love seeing him in full performance mode, and the band couldn’t be happier to have such an incredible drummer up on stage and in the studio with them. Technically, Deepsnake is Adam's band!
Younger than the others by some margin and likes to think he is the eye candy of the band! Self taught, he has been drumming since the age of eleven and actually started musical life by playing the piano followed by the clarinet before joining the dark side and switching to drums... Was previously in a band called Outerview and played many gigs round the county including Live at Lostock supporting Rust. Played at many Rust gigs with the gods of rock which was the catalyst to start Deepsnake. The rest, as they say....
Influences are Red Hot Chili Peppers, Deep Purple, Whitesnake, Van Halen, Glenn Hughes, Led Zep Drumming influences r Chad Smith, Ian Paice, Tommy Aldridge, Alex Van Halen, John Bohnam.
